LOCTITE 736

Main features

  • Passive-Surface Cure Acceleration
  • Very-Low-Viscosity Surface Wetting
  • 30-Minute On-Part Activity

Product Description

LOCTITE SF 736 is a light-amber, very-low-viscosity activator for accelerating cure of anaerobic structural adhesives and sealants. The aldehyde-amine condensate and organocopper active system is carried in trichloroethylene and isopropanol. It is applied to passive metals, inert surfaces, or assemblies with larger gaps where the anaerobic process needs activation. A viscosity of 3 mPa s supports rapid surface wetting. The treated surface remains active for up to 30 minutes, allowing adhesive application within a defined process window.

Key features

  • Passive-surface cure acceleration: The activator supports anaerobic adhesive and sealant cure on passive metals and inert surfaces.
  • Very-low-viscosity wetting: A viscosity of 3 mPa s supports rapid application over prepared surfaces.
  • 30-minute on-part activity: The treated surface remains active for up to 30 minutes under the listed condition.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Activating passive metal surfaces
  • Accelerating anaerobic structural adhesives
  • Accelerating anaerobic sealants or larger-gap assemblies
