DOWSIL EA-9187L UV Conformal Coating

Main features

  • One-Part Solvent-Free Silicone Coating
  • Shore A 17 Hardness
  • 20 kV/mm Dielectric Strength

Product Description

DOWSIL™ EA-9187L UV Silicone Conformal Coating is a one-part, translucent, no-added-solvent silicone conformal coating for protecting printed circuit board assemblies and sensitive electronic components. The medium-viscosity material can be applied by spraying or dipping and cures through exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature, with mild heat available to accelerate cure. After cure, it forms a soft, stress-relieving elastomer with electrical insulation properties. A UV indicator supports inspection of coating coverage, while UL recognition includes UL 94 V-0 flammability classification and evaluation under UL 746C.

Key features

  • No-added-solvent silicone system: One-part formulation avoids solvent addition and is supplied at a typical viscosity of 900 mPa·s.
  • Soft elastomer after cure: Typical Shore A hardness of 17 supports low-stress protection of electronic components and interconnections.
  • Inspection and flammability support: Contains a UV indicator and carries UL recognition, including UL 94 V-0 and UL 746C.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Environmental protection of printed circuit board assemblies
  • Corrosion protection of electronic assemblies
  • Dielectric protection of electronic components and circuitry
  • Thin-section encapsulation of sensitive components
