Main features
- Improved Inhibition Resistance
- Promotes Bonding to Most Plastics
- Wipe, Dip, or Spray Application
Product Description
DOWSIL™ 3-6060 Prime Coat is a one-part, solvent-based silicone surface treatment formulated to improve inhibition resistance and promote bonding for selected addition-cure and peroxide-cure silicone materials. The clear-to-yellow liquid is suitable for most plastics, ceramics, composites, and metals. It is applied as a very light, even coating by wiping, dipping, or spraying, then allowed to react with atmospheric moisture before the silicone material is applied.
Key features
- Improved inhibition resistance: Formulated to improve inhibition resistance when processing compatible addition-cure silicone products.
- Broad substrate suitability: Supports bonding to most plastics, ceramics, composites, and metals.
- Compatible silicone systems: Intended for use with selected two-part addition-cure and peroxide-cure silicone materials.
- Multiple application methods: May be applied in a very light, even coat by wiping, dipping, or spraying.
Applications / Suitable for
- Priming most plastics, ceramics, composites, and metals
- Improving inhibition resistance for compatible addition-cure silicone products
- Promoting adhesion of selected two-part addition-cure and peroxide-cure silicones
