Product Description

LOCTITE® ABLESTIK 2135D BIPAX is a two-component, medium-viscosity epoxy adhesive for bonding, laminating, sealing, and structural repair. The light-amber system mixes at 100:60 resin-to-hardener by weight and is documented for bonding metals, ceramics, wood, concrete, phenolics, polyester, epoxy, many urethanes, and other plastics. It provides good wetting, high impact strength, and strong mechanical, shock, and environmental resistance after cure. The mixed adhesive has a typical viscosity of 1,200 mPa·s at 25°C, a 60-minute pot life, and can cure for 24 hours at 25°C or 4 hours at 65°C.

Key features

  • Tough, impact-resistant bonding: Designed to provide high impact strength with mechanical and shock resistance after full cure.
  • Low mixed viscosity and good wetting: Typical mixed viscosity is 1,200 mPa·s at 25°C for application across a broad range of substrates.
  • Room-temperature or heat cure: Guideline schedules include 24 hours at 25°C or 4 hours at 65°C.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Bonding and laminating
  • Sealing and structural repair
  • Bonding metals, ceramics, wood, and concrete
  • Bonding phenolics, polyester, epoxy, many urethanes, and other plastics
