- Progressive Room-Temperature Strength Build
Product Description
Hardman Double/Bubble 04006 Regular-Setting Epoxy combines a 3.5 g premeasured dual-pouch format with a low-viscosity, two-part epoxy for thin glue lines. The light-amber mixed adhesive has a viscosity of 3,700 cP at 25 deg C, a 45 minute work time, and a 4 hour handling time. It sets in a 10 mil film at room temperature and develops typical lap shear strength from 500 psi after 3 hours to 2,900 psi after two weeks on acid-etched aluminum. The cured material reaches 78 Shore D hardness and is used for furniture, hobby, and sports-equipment repair on supported aluminum, epoxy, phenolic, and wood surfaces.
Key features
- Thin glue-line flow: The 3,700 cP mixed viscosity is suited to a 10 mil adhesive film.
- 45-minute work time: The defined working window supports placement before the 4 hour handling stage.
- Progressive room-temperature strength: Lap shear rises from 500 psi after 3 hours to 2,900 psi after two weeks on acid-etched aluminum.
Applications
Applications include thin glue-line bonding and repair for furniture, hobby projects, and sports equipment using supported aluminum, epoxy, phenolic, and wood surfaces.
