PERMABOND 738
Harmonization Code : 3506.10.00.00 | Prepared glues and other prepared adhesives, not elsewhere specified or included; products suitable for use as glues or adhesives, put up for retail sale as glues or adhesives, not exceeding a net weight of 1 kg

Main features
- Toughened cyanoacrylate formulation is designed to provide improved impact and peel performance compared with conventional cyanoacrylates
- Approximately 5,000 mPa·s viscosity and a maximum gap fill of 0.51 mm support controlled dispensing and bonding of less tightly fitted components.
- The black formulation is specifically suited to dark assemblies, with documented applications including speaker assembly and black PVC wire bonding
Product Description
PERMABOND® 738 Toughened Cyanoacrylate Adhesive is a black, high-viscosity, single-component cyanoacrylate adhesive formulated to provide improved impact and peel performance compared with conventional cyanoacrylates. Its approximately 5,000 mPa·s viscosity supports controlled dispensing and gap filling up to 0.51 mm, while the black formulation is suited to dark-colored assemblies where adhesive appearance is important. PERMABOND® 738 adheres to substrates including steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, selected plastics, and elastomers. The TDS identifies speaker assembly, bonding to black substrates, and black PVC wire bonding as typical applications.
Key features
- Toughened performance: Formulated for improved impact and peel strength compared with conventional cyanoacrylate adhesives.
- High-viscosity gap filling: Approximately 5,000 mPa·s viscosity supports controlled application and gaps up to 0.51 mm.
- Black formulation: Designed to visually match dark substrates in applications such as speaker assemblies and black PVC wire bonding.
Applications / Suitable for
- Speaker assembly
- Bonding to black or dark-colored substrates
- Black PVC wire bonding
- Steel, aluminum, and galvanized-steel bonding
- Selected plastic and elastomer bonding
- Assemblies requiring improved impact or peel performance
