Product Description

MOLYKOTE® Z Powder is a charcoal-gray to black, free-flowing molybdenum disulfide solid lubricant for metallic contacts and lubricant-modified materials. It can be dry-burnished onto clean metal surfaces or incorporated into self-lubricating plastics, elastomers, sintered-metal parts, metalworking compounds, and brake-lining formulations. The powder is suited to heavy-load, slow-speed, press-fit, run-in, dusty, and temperature-extreme applications. With 98% typical MoS2 purity, a service-temperature range of −185°C to 400°C in atmosphere, and capability up to 1,100°C in vacuum, it supports lubrication where conventional liquid or grease films may be unsuitable.
