Product Description
MOLYKOTE® 5 Compound is a nonconductive, water-repellent silicone paste engineered primarily for use as a dielectric compound on insulators, bushings, and high-current switches. Formulated with an inert amorphous silica filler and selected dimethyl and phenylmethyl silicone fluids, it provides improved metal-to-metal lubricity compared to standard silicone compounds. This virtually inert and nonvolatile grease-like material effectively prevents the formation of conductive paths, arcing, and flashovers on high-voltage equipment while resisting oxidation and moisture.
