MOLYKOTE 316
Harmonization Code : 3403.19 | Lubricating Preparations (With 70% or More Petroleum Oils) For Automotive and Other Uses

Main features
- Effective, Heat-Stable Anti-Stick Silicone Film
- FDA 21 CFR 175.300 Compliance
- Oxidative Breakdown Resistance
Product Description
MOLYKOTE® 316 Silicone Release is a heat-stable, silicone-based anti-stick and release agent available in both fluid and aerosol spray forms. Designed to solve a wide range of adhesion problems across multiple industries, it effectively reduces sticking and buildup on equipment such as heat seal bars, guide rails, cutting tools, and drying trays. The applied silicone film resists oxidation—preventing the formation of gummy surfaces or carbonaceous residues—and maintains low volatility at temperatures up to 199°C (390°F).
Key features
- Regulatory compliance: Complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.300 for resinous and polymeric coatings (subject to extractives limitations), and is formulated without intentional allergens, GMOs, or animal-derived content.
- Clean formulation: Free of intentional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
- Thermal & oxidative stability: Resists breakdown from oxidation and provides a durable, low-volatility anti-stick film up to 199°C (390°F).
Applications / Suitable for
- Food and beverage processing (e.g., heat seal bars, evaporator tubes, conveyor guide rails, and freezer filling spouts)
- High-speed rotary letterpress printing and flexography (reducing ink creep and metal sticking)
- The bindery industry (reducing buildup on glue pots and cutting surfaces)
