LORD 506

Main features

  • 4 to 6-Minute Working Window
  • Flexible Cured Adhesive
  • Environmental Resistance Acrylic Bonding

Product Description

LORD® 506 Acrylic Adhesive is a fast-curing structural acrylic adhesive designed for use with LORD® Accelerator 17 or 19. The mixed system forms a semi-flexible bond to a wide range of thermoplastics, thermoset plastics and prepared metals while accommodating shock and sudden stress loading. It cures rapidly at room temperature and provides documented performance from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 149°C).

Key Features

  • Broad substrate adhesion to ABS, acrylic, polycarbonate, FRP, prepared metals, urethane, phenolic, polysulfone and vinyl.
  • Rapid room-temperature cure with a 4–6 minute working time and handling strength in 8–12 minutes at 75°F (24°C).
  • Semi-flexible cured system accommodates shock and sudden stress loading.
  • Environmental and temperature resistance from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 149°C), including resistance to moisture, weathering and indirect UV exposure.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Thermoplastic and thermoset plastic bonding
  • ABS, acrylic and polycarbonate assemblies
  • FRP, urethane, phenolic, polysulfone and vinyl bonding
  • Prepared metal-to-plastic assemblies
