- One-Part No-Mix Application
Product Description
LOCTITE SI 5970 Flange Sealant is a one-part, black, thixotropic alkoxy silicone flange sealant for formed-in-place gasketing on stamped metal covers and other rigid flange assemblies. The moisture-curing RTV material applies without mixing, remains in position after dispensing, and becomes tack free in 25 minutes at 23 deg C and 50% relative humidity. It combines oil resistance with movement capability for timing covers, oil sumps, and similar gasketing joints. Typical cured properties include Shore A 44 hardness, at least 200% elongation, and at least 1.5 N/mm^2 tensile strength.
