Main features

  • Visible 10:1 Mix Confirmation
  • 30-Minute Assembly Window
  • Resilient Peel and Impact Performance

Product Description

LOCTITE AA H8000 is a two-component, non-sag methacrylate structural adhesive for metals, plastics and composites. Yellow resin and blue hardener mix at 10:1 by volume to create a green adhesive that visibly indicates mixed material. At 25 deg C, the mixed adhesive has a typical cone-and-plate viscosity of 8,850 mPa s and a 30 minute working time on steel, aluminum and polyethylene. Fixture time on grit-blasted mild steel is typically 25 to 30 minutes. The cured adhesive combines resilient bonding with peel, impact and lap-shear performance across specified substrates.

Key features

  • Visible green mix: Yellow resin and blue hardener produce a green mixed adhesive for process confirmation.
  • 30-minute working time: The mixed system provides a 30 minute assembly window at 25 deg C on the stated substrates.
  • Non-sag structural bonding: The methacrylate system supports controlled application on metals, plastics and composites.

Applications

Applications include structural bonding of metals, plastics and composites, including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, FRP, gelcoat and ABS.
