- 6,000 psi Shear Strength
- Up to 5.1 mm Gap Filling
Product Description
LOCTITE® EA E-310 is a single-component epoxy adhesive for structural bonding of metal, glass, and plastic. The silver-gray material cures at elevated temperatures and has a typical viscosity of 400,000 mPa·s at 25°C, supporting controlled placement and gap filling up to 5.1 mm (0.2 in). The cured adhesive is characterized by vibration and impact resistance, with typical lap shear strength reaching 6,000 psi (41 MPa) on steel under ASTM D1002 testing. Its documented operating-temperature range is -85°C to 204°C (-65°F to 400°F), making it suitable for evaluation in bonded assemblies exposed to a broad range of service temperatures.
Key features
- Single-component heat-cure epoxy: Eliminates component mixing and cures in 12 to 45 minutes at documented temperatures from 150°C to 200°C.
- Structural bonding performance: Provides typical ASTM D1002 lap shear strength of 6,000 psi (41 MPa) on steel and 5,800 psi (40 MPa) on aluminum.
- Gap-filling consistency: The 400,000 mPa·s viscosity at 25°C and maximum documented gap of 5.1 mm support thicker adhesive sections.
Applications / Suitable for
- Structural bonding of metal substrates
- Structural bonding of glass
- Structural bonding of plastic substrates
