LOCTITE AA 3943

Main features

  • Cannula-Focused Medium-Viscosity Dispensing
  • Sub-5-Second UV Fixture
  • UV-Fluorescent Assembly Inspection

Product Description

LOCTITE AA 3943 is a one-part, medium-viscosity UV and visible-light acrylic adhesive for bonding stainless-steel cannulae into hubs, syringes and lancets. Its 6,000 to 7,500 mPa s viscosity at 25 deg C is suited to dispensing on cannulae before hub assembly, including larger-gap needle configurations. The adhesive fixtures in less than 5 seconds under the stated 365 nm UV conditions and fluoresces under black light for assembly inspection. The cured material combines 271% elongation at break with Shore D 69 hardness, supporting flexible medical-device bonds across the specified glass, plastic and metal substrates.

Key features

  • Needle-assembly viscosity: 6,000 to 7,500 mPa s at 25 deg C supports controlled cannula-to-hub dispensing.
  • Fast light cure: Fixture time is less than 5 seconds at 30 mW/cm^2 and 365 nm on glass.
  • Inspection fluorescence: UV fluorescence supports visual confirmation of adhesive presence in bonded assemblies.

Applications

Applications include stainless-steel cannula bonding in hubs, syringes and lancets, plus documented glass, plastic and metal component bonding for disposable medical-device assembly.
