Main features
- Thixotropic Application Control
- High-Strength Joint Sealing
- Heat-Resistant Sealing Service
Product Description
LOCTITE® 962T™ is a one-component, high-strength anaerobic sealant designed for sealing and securing close-fitting cylindrical metal assemblies where resistance to product migration is important. The thixotropic red methacrylate ester liquid cures when confined between mating metal surfaces in the absence of air. Typical applications include engine block cup and core plugs, water-pump seals, hub-and-shaft assemblies, and other high-strength metal sealing applications.
Key features
- Thixotropic non-migrating application: Helps limit movement of the liquid sealant after it is applied to the substrate.
- High-strength cylindrical sealing: Seals and secures closely fitted metal plugs, shafts, hubs, and related assemblies.
- Heat-resistant cured performance: Delivers 13.8 N/mm² compressive shear strength in the reported hot-strength and heat-aging tests.
