- General-Purpose Cyanoacrylate Adhesive
- Cured Thermal-Cycling Resistance
- Cured Humidity Resistance
Product Description
LOCTITE® 498™ is a one-component, medium-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for general-purpose bonding applications requiring elevated temperature resistance and excellent humidity durability. The adhesive rapidly bonds metals, plastics and elastomers through moisture curing and is formulated to withstand thermal cycling while maintaining reliable bond strength. Its combination of fast fixture speed, high glass transition temperature and good environmental resistance makes it suitable for demanding industrial assembly applications where long-term performance under heat exposure is required.
- General-purpose cyanoacrylate adhesive with enhanced heat resistance.
- Excellent resistance to thermal cycling.
- Superior humidity resistance compared with standard formulations.
- Rapid humidity-cure technology.
- One-component system requiring no mixing.
- Bonds rubbers, plastics and metals.
- Suitable for applications requiring elevated-temperature performance.
Recommended Applications
- General industrial bonding operations.
- Assemblies exposed to heat and thermal cycling.
- Bonding metals, rubbers and engineering plastics.
- Applications requiring humidity resistance.
- Precision assembly with close-fitting bond lines.
