Main features
- One-Part Adhesive Form
- Multi-Substrate Assembly Fixturing
- Low-Viscosity Adhesive Application
Product Description
LOCTITE® 495 Instant Adhesive is a one-part, low-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for rapid bonding of plastics, rubbers, and metals. Atmospheric moisture initiates the cure, allowing closely fitted components to fixture within seconds depending on the substrate, bond gap, humidity, and ambient conditions.
Key features
- One-part cyanoacrylate: Requires no mixing and cures through exposure to atmospheric moisture.
- Rapid fixture: Typical fixture times range from less than 5 seconds to 15 seconds on documented substrates at 22 °C and 50% relative humidity.
- Low-viscosity liquid: Typical cone-and-plate viscosity is 20 to 45 mPa·s at 25 °C and a shear rate of 3,000 s-1.
Applications / Suitable for
- Bonding closely fitted plastic components
- Bonding rubber and elastomer components
- Rapid bonding of metal components
