Product Description

LOCTITE 493 is a clear to slightly hazy, very-low-viscosity methyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive for general-purpose bonding, with particular suitability for metals. The one-part liquid also bonds supported rubber and plastic substrates and cures through atmospheric moisture without mixing. A cone-and-plate viscosity of 1 to 4 mPa s supports capillary flow into very close-fitting joints. Fixture time ranges from under 10 seconds on neoprene and nitrile rubber to 20 to 60 seconds on tested metals under the specified conditions. Full chemical and solvent resistance develops after at least 24 hours.
