Main features

  • Rapid Blue-or-UV Photocure
  • High-Viscosity Placement Control
  • Low-Shrink Mechanical Stability

Product Description

LOCTITE ECCOBOND LUX 4047 is a single-component, high-viscosity acrylate adhesive and encapsulant for photocured optoelectronic assembly. The opaque yellowish-white material cures in seconds with suitable visible blue or UV light and combines low cure shrinkage with high mechanical stability. A viscosity of 120,000 mPa s supports controlled placement. The cured material has Shore D 80 hardness, 1.1% linear shrinkage, and 0.07% water absorption after 24-hour immersion. It is used for fiber-optic and optoelectronic device assembly, including LED mounting, laser-diode packaging, fiber pigtailing, and transceiver potting.

Key features

  • Rapid Blue-or-UV Photocure: The adhesive cures in seconds under suitable visible blue or UV light.
  • High-Viscosity Placement: A 120,000 mPa s viscosity supports controlled placement in optoelectronic assemblies.
  • Low-Shrink Stable Cure: The cured material combines 1.1% linear shrinkage with Shore D 80 hardness.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Fiber-optic and optoelectronic device assembly
  • LED mounting and laser-diode packaging
  • Fiber pigtailing and transceiver potting
