LOCTITE 4014
Harmonization Code : 3810.10.00 | Soldering, brazing or welding powders and pastes consisting of metal and other materials

Main features
- Very-Low-Viscosity Precision Bonding
- Fast Mixed-Material Fixturing
- Heat-Conditioned Bond Strength
Product Description
LOCTITE 4014 is a one-part, very-low-viscosity cyanoacrylate instant adhesive for fast room-temperature bonding of plastics and metals. The transparent, colorless-to-slightly-yellow liquid requires no mixing and cures with atmospheric moisture. Depending on the substrate pair, fixture times range from 5 to 30 seconds for many stainless-steel, ABS, polycarbonate, polyurethane, and G-10 epoxy combinations, while PVC-to-PVC fixtures in 60 to 80 seconds. After 24 hours at 22 deg C, the cured adhesive reaches Shore hardness 65 and 28 N/mm^2 tensile strength. It is also intended for disposable medical-device assembly within the product-specific evaluation scope.
Key features
- Very-Low-Viscosity Flow: A 1 to 5 mPa s viscosity suits thin, close-fitting plastic and metal joints.
- Fast Mixed-Material Fixture: Many stainless-steel-to-plastic combinations fixture in 5 to 10 seconds.
- Heat-Conditioned Strength: Grit-blasted steel lap shear remains at least 12 N/mm^2 after a 24-hour, 121 deg C heat condition.
Applications / Suitable for
- Fast bonding of plastics and metals
- Stainless-steel-to-plastic assembly
- Disposable medical-device assembly
