Main features
- 60+ GHz Injection-Moldable Absorber
- 76 to 81 GHz Automotive Radar Use
- Polypropylene-Like Mechanical Integration
Product Description
LAIRD Eccosorb JCP-PP9 is a proprietary polypropylene-blend thermoplastic absorber for injection-molded components operating in the 60+ GHz range. The low-density material combines electromagnetic energy absorption with impact-resistant, polypropylene-like mechanical behavior, enabling complex 3D parts rather than only flat die-cut absorber shapes. JCP-PP9 is used in 76–81 GHz automotive radar brackets and can be molded to customer drawings, subject to engineering feasibility. It is black, has a typical density of 0.9 g/cm³, operates from −40°C to 100°C, and can be assembled by ultrasonic welding.
Key features
- High-frequency absorption: Formulated for electromagnetic interference reduction in 60+ GHz applications.
- Injection-molded 3D geometry: Supports complex custom shapes and economical higher-volume part production.
- Polymer-like integration: Low density, impact resistance, and ultrasonic-welding capability support molded assembly integration.
Applications / Suitable for
- 76–81 GHz automotive radar brackets.
- Custom 3D absorber parts for constrained cavities.
- High-frequency molded components for automotive, industrial, consumer, and military equipment.
