- Impact-Resistant Silicone Elastomer
Product Description
Eccosorb CRS-124 Castable Silicone Load Absorber is a two-part, magnetically loaded RTV silicone for forming lossy microwave and RF structures above 1 GHz. The 100:1 Part A-to-Part B weight ratio produces a castable elastomer that can be poured into cavities or molded into cones, wedges, pyramids, terminations, and load shapes. The cured material combines Shore A 75 hardness, 1.0 W/(m K) thermal conductivity, low water absorption, and high volume resistivity. It can also be painted onto surfaces for current suppression or poured in place for microwave gaskets. Applications include microwave loads, RF terminations, cavity filling, antennas, transmission lines, and microwave-tube assemblies.
Key features
- Castable RF Absorber: Two-part silicone can be poured or molded into custom microwave load geometries.
- Above-1-GHz Loss Profile: CRS-124 provides high-loss behavior and calculated attenuation data above 1 GHz.
- Elastomeric Cured Form: Shore A 75 silicone can be shaped to contoured surfaces and withstand impact or shock.
Applications / Suitable for
- Microwave loads and terminations
- RF cavity filling and current suppression
- Microwave gaskets and absorber shapes
- Antennas and transmission lines
