KESTER 1429

Main features

  • VOC-Free Water-Based Fluxing
  • Self-Neutralizing Post-Solder Residue
  • Water-Only Residue Removal

Product Description

Kester 1429 VOC-Free Organic Water-Soluble Liquid Flux is a water-based, high-activity flux for tinning, dipping, and soldering processes that require water-removable residues. Its self-neutralizing chemistry develops a neutral, non-corrosive residue when properly heated, while adjusted surface tension supports solder flow and control of icicling and bridging. The ORH1 flux contains a typical 18% solids and can be applied by spray, dip, or wave methods. It may be used without preheating and can be diluted for supported applications. Applications include tinning and dipping operations and soldering tasks where rosin flux is too inactive and inorganic acid flux is too corrosive.

Key features

  • VOC-Free Water-Based Flux: Water-based ORH1 chemistry provides high activity without an organic-solvent carrier.
  • Water-Removable Residue: Residue can be removed with water without neutralizers, saponifiers, or detergents.
  • Self-Neutralizing Chemistry: Proper heating develops a neutral, non-corrosive residue with no SIR degradation.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Tinning and dipping operations
  • Spray, dip, or wave fluxing
  • Water-wash soldering processes
