- 60 to 200 deg C Mold Operation
Product Description
LOCTITE® FREKOTE® R-150™, formerly known as AQUALINE® R-150™, is a water-based, heat-curing mold release agent for demanding rubber molding processes, particularly those involving highly abrasive compounds. Applied as a finely atomized spray to a preheated mold, it chemically bonds to the surface and forms a thin, inert, thermally stable release coating. The product supports the release of natural and synthetic rubber compounds, thermoplastic urethanes, and certain solid polyurethane cast elastomers while providing release and slip performance across mold application temperatures from 60 to 200°C.
Key features
- Water-based formulation: Supplied as a non-flammable, translucent emulsion with mild odor.
- Release and slip performance: Recommended for demanding rubber molding applications, including highly abrasive compounds.
- Heat-curing release coating: Forms a thin, inert coating on preheated molds and supports multiple releases.
- Broad mold-temperature window: Applied to molds operating from 60 to 200°C.
- Freeze/thaw stable: Supports storage and handling where temperature cycling may occur.
Applications / Suitable for
- Natural and synthetic rubber molding compounds
- Highly abrasive rubber compounds
- Thermoplastic urethanes
- Certain solid polyurethane cast elastomers
