EPOCAST 89537

Main features

  • Non-Sag Placement Control
  • Low-Density, Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Syntactic
  • Self-Extinguishing Epoxy Syntactic

Product Description

EPOCAST® 89537 A/B is a two-part, glass-fiber-reinforced epoxy syntactic developed for honeycomb core structures. The low-density, non-sag material can be trowelled or extruded for fastener and attachment potting, core splicing, and edge reinforcement, including vertical applications up to 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick. The mixed system forms a gray soft paste with a typical density of 0.90 g/cm³ and a 70-minute gel time for a 100 g mass at 25°C. It is self-extinguishing and meets the requirements of BMS 5-28 Type 32.

Key features

  • Glass-fiber-reinforced syntactic: Two-part, low-density core filler for localized potting, splicing, and reinforcement.
  • Non-sag vertical build: Can be applied vertically at thicknesses up to 1/2 inch (1.25 cm).
  • Self-extinguishing performance: Meets the requirements of BMS 5-28 Type 32.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Fastener and attachment potting in honeycomb core structures
  • Honeycomb core splicing
  • Core-edge reinforcement
  • Vertical or overhead core-filling applications requiring non-sag placement
