EPIBOND 1210

Main features

  • Low-Outgassing Epoxy Bonding
  • 50 to 75-Minute Working Window
  • Flexible Cured Adhesive

Product Description

EPIBOND® 1210 A-1/B Epoxy Adhesive is a two-part, tan epoxy adhesive with a semi-paste consistency and low-outgassing performance for spacecraft bonding applications. The 100:65 parts-by-weight mix provides a 50–75 minute work life at 25°C and cures either for 48 hours at 23–26°C or for 2 hours at 66°C. The system can be applied by brush, spatula, or automatic dispensing equipment. EPIBOND® 1210 B hardener may be increased to as much as 100 parts by weight per 100 parts resin when a more flexible bondline is required. The adhesive is intended for bonding metals, wood and wood products, glass, ceramics, most plastics, and other materials.

Key features

  • Low-outgassing performance: Typical ASTM E595 results are 0.65% total mass loss and 0.01% collected volatile condensable material.
  • Adjustable bondline flexibility: The hardener level may be increased from 65 to as much as 100 parts by weight per 100 parts resin for more flexible bonds.
  • Flexible cure options: Cures at room temperature in 48 hours or with an accelerated 2-hour cure at 66°C.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Spacecraft bonding applications
  • Metal bonding
  • Wood and wood-product bonding
  • Glass and ceramic bonding
  • Bonding most plastics
