Product Description
DOWSIL™ X3-1598 Adhesive is a one-part, black, flowable heat-cure silicone adhesive with high tensile strength and a UV indicator for automated inspection. The ready-to-use material contains no added solvents and may be applied by manual or automated needle dispensing. Documented applications include sealing lids and housings, attaching baseplates, gasketing, connector sealing, engine and transmission controllers, ABS assemblies, and lighting. Typical viscosity is 86,550 cP, with cure schedules of 60 minutes at 125°C or 30 minutes at 150°C. Typical lap shear adhesion to unprimed aluminum is 5.8 MPa.
