DEVCON FLEXANE 80

Main features

  • Medium-Viscosity Application Control
  • 10-Hour Cure Cycle
  • Shore A 87 and 650% Elongation

Product Description

Devcon® Flexane® 80 Liquid is a two-part, medium-viscosity castable urethane compound that cures at room temperature without applied heat. The black, 100%-solids material mixes and pours easily to reproduce rubber parts, form flexible molds and non-scratching fixtures or linings, and encapsulate wires and electronics exposed to impact, vibration, expansion, and contraction. It provides a 30-minute pot life at 75 °F (24 °C), a 10-hour demolding time, and a cured hardness of 87 Shore A.

Key features

  • Castable urethane system: Medium-viscosity material mixes and pours easily for molding, lining, and encapsulation processes.
  • Room-temperature cure: Requires no applied heat and reaches a documented demolding time of 10 hours.
  • Flexible cured performance: Develops 87 Shore A hardness, 650% maximum elongation, and 350 pli (61.3 N/mm) tear resistance after cure.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Reproducing low- to medium-volume or discontinued rubber parts
  • Flexible molds and non-scratching holding fixtures or linings
  • Encapsulating wires and electronics exposed to impact, vibration, expansion, and contraction
