Main features

  • 15 to 25-Minute Working Window
  • 22.1 MPa Cured Tensile Strength
  • Flexible Cured Material

Product Description

CONATHANE® TU-89MF Polyurethane is a two-component amber polyurethane casting material for tough, flexible elastomeric parts. The system is documented for acoustic barriers, belt repair, bushings, diaphragms, gaskets, molds, pulleys, washers, and wheels. It uses a 100:53 resin-to-hardener ratio by weight and has a typical pot life of 15 to 25 minutes at 25°C. Typical cured properties include Shore A 89 hardness, 22.1 MPa tensile strength, 600% elongation, 74.4 kN/m tear strength, and resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and solvents.

Key features

  • Tough cast elastomer: Typical cured tensile strength is 22.1 MPa with 600% elongation.
  • Controlled two-part processing: The system uses a 100:53 mix ratio by weight and has a 15 to 25-minute pot life at 25°C.
  • Broad industrial use: Documented applications include wheels, gaskets, bushings, molds, belts, and acoustic barriers.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Wheels, pulleys, and belt repair
  • Bushings, diaphragms, gaskets, and washers
  • Molds, tools, and acoustic barriers
