- Unfilled 100% Solids Polyurethane for Casting
- 1,200 cP Mixed Viscosity
- Low-Exotherm Encapsulation Processing
Product Description
CONATHANE® EN-20 Polyurethane Encapsulant is an unfilled, two-component, room-temperature-curing, 100% solids polyurethane system for casting, embedding, potting, and encapsulating electrical assemblies and power devices. The low-viscosity system is documented for printed circuit boards, voltage regulators, transformers, rectifiers, inductors, and related components. It combines low exotherm, low shrinkage, moisture resistance, reversion resistance, and thermal-shock performance for stress-sensitive assemblies. Published portfolio data identify a typical initial mixed viscosity of 1,200 cP and Shore A 60 cured hardness.
Key features
- Low-viscosity polyurethane: Published portfolio data identify an initial mixed viscosity of approximately 1,200 cP.
- 100% solids system: The unfilled two-component material cures at room or low temperature.
- Low-stress encapsulation: The system is documented for low exotherm, low shrinkage, moisture resistance, and thermal-shock performance.
Applications / Suitable for
- Printed circuit boards and voltage regulators
- Transformers, rectifiers, and inductors
- Electrical assemblies and power devices
