Main features
- Polyether-Based Polyurethane for Harness Breakouts
- 550% Cured Elongation
- Water and Fuel Resistance
Product Description
CONATHANE® EN-1554 Polyurethane Encapsulant is a two-component polyether-based polyurethane system for molding, encapsulating, and potting harness breakouts, watertight connectors, cables, cable-end seals, printed circuitry, and other electrical components. The black or amber system uses a 100:33 mix ratio by weight and may be cured at room or elevated temperature. After cure, it forms a tough, cold-flow-resistant elastomer with documented resistance to oils, gasoline, JP-4 fuel, water, and seawater. Typical cured properties include Shore A 85 hardness, 550% elongation, and 600 V/mil dielectric strength.
Key features
- Cable and connector encapsulation: The polyurethane system is documented for harness breakouts, watertight connectors, cables, and cable-end seals.
- Tough flexible elastomer: Typical cured data include Shore A 85 hardness and 550% elongation.
- Fluid and moisture resistance: The cured material is documented for oils, gasoline, JP-4 fuel, water, and seawater.
Applications / Suitable for
- Harness breakouts and watertight connectors
- Cables and cable-end seals
- Printed circuitry and electrical components
