CONATHANE EN-11

Main features

  • Flexible Two-Component Polyurethane System for Potting
  • 5,750 cP Mixed Viscosity
  • 350% Cured Elongation

Product Description

CONATHANE® EN-11 Polyurethane Encapsulant is a two-component, highly flexible polyurethane molding and encapsulation system for electrical and electronic assemblies exposed to severe environmental conditions. EN-4 Part A is mixed with EN-11 Part B at 100:55 by weight to produce a low-viscosity, translucent amber elastomer. The system is documented for cable and connector potting, electronic modules, wire-wound devices, strain-sensitive components, and thick-film protection of printed circuitry. Typical cured properties include Shore A 60 hardness, 350% elongation, high dielectric strength, hydrolytic stability, and thermal-shock resistance.

Key features

  • Flexible polyurethane system: The cured material has typical Shore A 60 hardness and 350% ultimate elongation.
  • Low mixed viscosity: Typical initial mixed viscosity is 5,750 cP at 25°C.
  • Electrical and environmental properties: Typical data include 610 V/mil dielectric strength, hydrolytic stability, and thermal-shock resistance.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Cable and connector potting and molding
  • Electronic module and wire-wound device encapsulation
  • Strain-sensitive component potting and printed-circuit protection
