- Hand-Wipe or Immersion Cleaning
- 142 deg F Flash Point
Product Description
AXAREL 6100 Solvent Cleaner is a non-aqueous, aliphatic hydrocarbon precision cleaner formulated to combine low odor, minimal surface residue, and broad solvency. It is designed for hand-wipe and immersion cleaning at full concentration and can remove difficult soils including adhesives, inks, greases, hydraulic fluids, coolants, waxes, silicones, tars, paint overspray, and particulate matter. AXAREL 6100 offers a moderate drying rate, good soil loading, and material compatibility for cleaning and surface-preparation operations. It may be considered as an alternative to isopropyl alcohol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and other lower-flash-point solvents, subject to process validation and applicable safety requirements.
Key features
- Broad solvency: Removes a wide range of difficult industrial soils, including greases, oils, adhesives, inks, sealants, silicones, tars, waxes, and particulates.
- Manual and immersion cleaning: Used at full concentration for hand wiping, immersion tanks, and compatible low-pressure spray-under-immersion systems.
- Moderate drying rate: Provides more working time than faster-evaporating solvents while supporting practical room-temperature cleaning.
- Low odor and low vapor pressure: Mild odor with vapor pressure below 1.0 mmHg at 20 °C.
- Alternative to common low-flash-point solvents: May replace IPA, MEK, or acetone in suitable validated processes.
Applications / Suitable for
- Manual precision cleaning and degreasing
- Immersion and low-pressure spray-under-immersion cleaning
- Surface preparation before subsequent manufacturing, coating, bonding, or inspection operations
