Product Description

AXAREL 2000 Solvent Cleaner is a ready-to-use, low-odor hydrocarbon cleaner approved to MIL-PRF-680 Type II. It is designed for hand wiping, immersion cleaning, and compatible airless vacuum hydrocarbon equipment, where it removes greases, mineral oils, lubricants, coolants, synthetic soils, and particulate matter while leaving very low surface residues. AXAREL 2000 can be used for general cleaning and degreasing, maintenance operations, cleaning before non-destructive inspection, and surface preparation before bonding, painting, plating, sealing, welding, or additional processing. It is compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers and is suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.

Processing

Cleaning methods and process use

Use AXAREL 2000 at full concentration. Select the cleaning method according to part geometry, soil loading, production requirements, and equipment compatibility. Verify material compatibility and the required cleanliness endpoint for the specific assembly before production use.

Manual cleaning: Apply at full concentration by brush, pad, or cloth, then allow the solvent to drain and evaporate according to the approved work instruction.
Immersion cleaning: Add at full concentration to the cleaning reservoir and use in a compatible immersion system. Manage soil loading and bath condition according to the equipment and process requirements.
Equipment use: Suitable for compatible airless vacuum hydrocarbon equipment. Confirm equipment compatibility, ventilation, ignition controls, and operating procedures before use.

Storage and Handling
