ALPHA 615-25
Harmonization Code : 3208.20.90 | Paints and varnishes that are dispersed or dissolved in a non aqueous medium

Main features
- Lower-Solids Surface-Mount Selection
- Flexible Foam-or-Spray Processing
- Defined Flux-Control Window
Product Description
ALPHA 615-25 RMA Flux is the 25% solids grade in the ALPHA 615 super RMA liquid-flux series for processes that call for lower solids than the standard 37% grade, including wave soldering surface-mount boards. It supports foam, wave, and spray fluxing and is classified ROL0 per IPC J-STD-004. A typical topside preheat of 180 to 200 deg F activates the flux. Maintain the working flux by measuring specific gravity at 77 deg F and keeping it within +0.015 to -0.005 of nominal. Residues can be cleaned with a compatible solvent blend or aqueous saponifier.
Key features
- Intermediate 25% solids selection: The grade provides a lower-solids option than standard ALPHA 615 for supported surface-mount wave processes.
- Flexible flux delivery: Foam, wave, and spray application options support multiple printed-circuit production lines.
- Controlled working condition: Specified specific-gravity limits and a defined preheat range support repeatable flux processing.
Applications
Applications include wave soldering of surface-mount printed circuit boards and other supported RMA processes using foam or spray flux application.
