Product Description
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP460NS is an off-white, non-sag, toughened, two-part structural epoxy adhesive formulated for durable bonding across metals, ceramics, glass, wood, composites and selected plastics. It combines a 2:1 mix ratio by volume with a 60-minute work life, allowing time for adhesive application, joint assembly and repositioning. DP460NS develops handling strength in approximately four hours and reaches full cure in 24 hours at 23°C.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP460NS is an off-white, non-sag, toughened, two-part epoxy adhesive for demanding structural bonding. Its 60-minute work life provides time for application, positioning and assembly, while the cured adhesive delivers documented shear, peel, electrical and environmental performance across supported substrates.
Non-sag, toughened structural epoxy available in Duo-Pak cartridges and bulk containers.
Key processing properties
DP460NS combines high-viscosity, non-sag rheology with an extended working window. The epoxy base and amine accelerator must be accurately proportioned and thoroughly mixed before application.

Surface preparation, dispensing and cure
DP460NS may be dispensed from Duo-Pak cartridges using compatible 3M™ EPX™ equipment or proportioned through two-part bulk dispensing systems. Surface condition, proportioning, mixing and joint control materially affect bonded-joint performance.
Recommended visual: cleaning and abrasion, 2:1 dispensing, static mixing, adhesive placement, joint assembly and cure.
Storage and handling
Keep both components in their original packaging and protect them from contamination, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Follow the storage limits and shelf-life information printed on the product packaging and current manufacturer documentation. Review the applicable safety documentation before handling either component.

DP460NS provides documented overlap shear and peel performance across multiple temperatures. Every result remains specific to the stated substrate, surface preparation, cure, bondline geometry and test method.

Specimens used a 25 mm width, 12.7 mm overlap and 0.13–0.20 mm bondline. Separation rate was 2.5 mm/min for metals and 51 mm/min for plastics.
Bell peel and T-peel adhesion
Peel data should be evaluated separately from overlap shear because specimen geometry, peel angle, adherend flexibility and test rate differ.

Bell-peel testing used 12.7 mm wide bonds, 1.6 mm bondlines and 15 cm/min jaw separation. T-peel testing used 25 mm wide bonds and 508 mm/min jaw separation.
