3M 467 MP
Harmonization Code : 3910.00.00.90 | Silicones in Primary Forms; Others

Main features
- 0.06 mm Thin Adhesive Construction
- Peel and Shear on High-Energy Surfaces
- Up to 204 deg C Short-Term Exposure
Product Description
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP is a 0.06 mm (2.3 mil) acrylic adhesive transfer tape using 3M™ High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP on a tan 58 lb polycoated kraft paper liner. It is used for graphic attachment and general industrial joining, with documented adhesion to metals and high-surface-energy plastics. The adhesive provides some initial repositionability on plastics, develops bond strength with time and temperature, and offers strong shear resistance together with resistance to solvents, humidity, water, UV exposure when covered, and hot/cold cycling. It is suited to thin, smooth bonding constructions where a carrierless adhesive layer supports precise lamination, die cutting, and permanent attachment.
Key features
- 3M™ High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP for bonding metals and high-surface-energy plastics.
- Thin transfer-tape construction: 0.06 mm (2.3 mil) total tape thickness.
- High shear resistance to support resistance to slippage and edge lifting.
- Temperature resistance: up to 204°C (400°F) short term and 149°C (300°F) for intermittent longer periods under the documented conditions.
- Environmental resistance after documented humidity, water, chemical, UV, and temperature-cycling exposure.
- Initial repositionability on plastics to support placement accuracy before bond build-up.
Applications / Suitable for
- Graphic nameplates, rating plates, and durable labels bonded to metals and high-surface-energy plastics.
- Graphic overlays and membrane-switch assembly.
- Lamination to industrial foams and flexible materials for die-cut gaskets and converted parts.

Additional Information
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP
A thin carrierless transfer tape using 3M™ High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP for graphic attachment and general industrial joining. It bonds strongly to metal and high-surface-energy plastics, provides some initial repositionability on plastics, and develops higher bond strength with dwell time and temperature.

Tape construction and properties
Representative or typical values for product evaluation; they are not specification limits.
| Attribute | Value | Method / context |
|---|---|---|
| Adhesive type | Acrylic | 3M™ High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 200MP |
| Tape construction | Carrierless transfer tape | Adhesive supplied on release liner |
| Total tape thickness | 0.06 mm (2.3 mil) | ASTM D3652 |
| Release liner | 58 lb polycoated kraft paper | Tan liner printed 467MP |
| Liner thickness | 0.11 mm (4.2 mil) | As reported |
Application and lamination
Bond performance depends on clean, dry surfaces, adequate pressure, suitable application temperature, and sufficient dwell. Customers should evaluate the tape in the actual material combination and assembly process.

Store in the original packaging at 16–27°C (60–80°F) and 40–60% relative humidity, away from direct sunlight. For best performance, use within 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Bonding performance
Typical results after 72-hour dwell using 2 mil aluminum-foil backing. Peel testing used ASTM D3330 at 300 mm/min unless otherwise stated.
| Test | Temperature | Substrate | Typical value |
|---|---|---|---|
| 90° peel adhesion | 23°C | Stainless steel | 10 N/cm |
| 90° peel adhesion | 70°C | Stainless steel | 16.7 N/cm |
| 180° peel adhesion | 23°C | Stainless steel | 9.6 N/cm |
| 90° peel adhesion | 23°C | ABS | 2.4 N/cm |
| 90° peel adhesion | 23°C | Acrylic (PMMA) | 7 N/cm |

*25 × 25 mm sample area; tests were terminated after 10,000 minutes.
Environmental and temperature performance
Documented testing shows retained peel adhesion after selected chemical, moisture, UV, and thermal-cycle exposures. Results apply to the stated stainless-steel and aluminum-foil test construction and do not establish universal performance for every assembly.
Applications
3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape 467MP supports thin, permanent bonding applications where the surfaces, pressure, temperature, and dwell conditions are suitable for 200MP acrylic adhesive.
