Product Description
3M Embossed Aluminum EMI Shielding Tape 1267 uses a 2.0 mil embossed, dead-soft aluminum backing coated with non-conductive acrylic adhesive in a 4.95 mil tape for grounding and EMI control. During installation, raised foil edges penetrate the adhesive and establish z-axis contact with the substrate; conductivity does not come from the adhesive itself. ASTM D4935 testing gives 64 dB average shielding effectiveness across 300 kHz to 2.5 GHz, while the stated MIL-STD-202 method limits electrical resistance to 0.0075 ohm/in2 maximum. A removable liner aids die-cut conversion and controlled placement in equipment, components, shielded rooms, and prototype assemblies.
